One of my favorite things about New York is the specialty stores. We needed some new lampshades and found nothing but crap at Bed, Bath, & Beyond, Home Depot, and several other chains. The best place to go? Just Shades, a one of a kind shades store on Spring Street. This reminds me of the episode of The Simpsons where Homer needs a hammock. I bet NYC has a hammock district somewhere below Houston.
