Yes, it must live up to two weeks of unparalleled hype, but my experience was nothing but positive. That's because the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals stepped up and reminded the world that a football game is the main attraction with a 60 minute nail biter.
The second biggest spectacle, even outshining a sublime Bruce, were legions of loyal and attentive Pittsburgh and Arizona fans. While the Steelers won with numbers, it was a tie for energy. The Arizona fans should be proud of the noise they brought on 3rd downs. We were surrounded by black & gold jerseys, though, including two older women behind me who knew every player and formation of both teams.
It was a long stressful blur for me, so I a glad to have missed the commercials. My wife cheered like a champ, re-earning her Wife Of The Millenium. In the end, it was all worth it. The energy and joy of 50 thousand amid the raining confetti...just wow. Wow.
