I've been slowly porting over http://old.brooklyntrout.com to http://brooklyntrout.com while simultaneously porting my whole picture collection to Flickr. It's an insane task that I can't remember why I'm doing. I have had fun build tools to automate pieces of it though.
Originally, my blog was created back in 2002 by updating the same file everyday with Notepad. I also had links to various pages of photographs I'd copied in from where they had been way back, places like Geocities. When I ported this to Movable Type and then later to this domain and Druple, about 30 or so galleries got "lost". These Lost Blog Sessions are slowly being returned to the archives. From the first ones, I've learned a few things.
- I used to smoke a lot. Indoors.
- I was a slob.
- I liked taking pictures of myself.
- My gf didn't really like me.
- We thought every picture was precious. Seriously. I posted everything.
Anyways, these lost galleries will be added over the next few months, complete with updated tags, because they really will only be interesting to the people picture. Today's shot shows how much we loved just the idea of digital photos. It's from a 2002 gallery mundanely titled "January." Sorry, Jen.
Also added, "Groundhgog Day/Super Bowl Weekend."
